MediaData Player is committed to protecting user privacy. We want to be clear about what data we do and do not collect:

• We DO NOT collect:
  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • User IDs or device identifiers
  • Location data
  • Browsing history or media consumption patterns
  • Financial information
  • Photos, videos, or media content
  • Contact lists or social network data
• What happens on your device:
  • All media playback occurs locally
  • Streaming URLs are processed in real-time and not logged
  • Settings and preferences are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences

2. Local Storage

The app requires access to your device storage solely for:

• Playing local media files you select
• Storing app preferences (subtitle settings, language, etc.)

Important: You have full control over what files the app can access. The app only accesses files you explicitly open or folders you explicitly grant permission to.

3. Internet Connectivity

The app requires internet permission for: Streaming content from user-provided URLs

What we DON'T do:

• We don't send your data to our servers (we don't have servers)
• We don't track which URLs you access
• We don't monitor your streaming habits
• We don't share your activity with third parties

4. Third-Party Services

MediaData Player uses the following Android and Google services: Media3 (ExoPlayer), Google's open-source media playback library. No data collection

No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use:

• Google Analytics
• Firebase Analytics
• Crashlytics or crash reporting
• Facebook SDK
• Any advertising SDKs
• Any third-party tracking services

5. Permissions Explained

Permission	Purpose
INTERNET	Required for streaming content from user-provided URLs
Storage Access	Read local media files (user-granted folders only)

6. Data Security

• All data remains on your device
• Network streams use HTTPS when available
• No cloud storage or external databases
• No authentication or user accounts

7. Age Requirement and Children's Privacy

MediaData Player is intended for use by individuals who are at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, please do not use or access the app at any time or in any manner.

If we learn that personal information of persons under 13 has been collected, we will take the appropriate steps to delete this information. Since the app does not collect user data to our servers, children's privacy is primarily protected by the lack of data collection and the local-only nature of the app.

MediaData Player is open source (GNU General Public License v3.0). You can review the source code to verify our privacy claims:

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Posting the new policy in the app

Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
